His politics are the sort of fuck-you punk rock aesthetic that all rock ‘n’ rollers have. Think about it, if you were from a country that fought and beat the greatest army in the world, wouldn’t you have a bit of swagger too? I am a RnRoller and i’ve got typical points of view but i don’t invent history.The way i look at it is simple USA,AUSTRALIA,NEW ZEALAND,CANADA are our children some have grown up and flown the nest some haven’t there all nations GREAT BRITAIN has invented not bad for a country one third of the size of TEXAS. Semantics. So you’re trying to say that American colonists were culturally indistinct from the English simply because they didn’t yet have an independent nation? You don’t think that a large influx of Scottish and Irish separatists fresh out of the Troubles in Ulster had anything to do with anti-English sentiments? Not to mention the French, Dutch, and Germans all had significant communities within what became the British sphere of influence?

And the Irish, Scots, Welsh, Britons, and Cornish are Celtic, not Angles, or Saxons. The Celts predate the arrival of both Teutonic tribes by centuries, and also to ignore the Norman French conquering of Anglo-Saxon England is to have a poor understanding of your own ethnic history, mate. It was the French cultural invasion that formed most of what you know to be English culture today. It’s why you still use those superfluous “U’s” in words like “colour” and “labour.” Anglo-Saxon my Aunt Fannie.

Your correct on many points,i’m a celt myself from CORNWALL.
I just wasn’t going to go into it as deeply as you,i should have said Northern Europeons as that would have been more acurate.
As for Anglo Saxons and Celts they are so inter bred that i don’t think anybody could put hand on heart and say they were one or the other.Most people i know in England have either WELSH IRISH or SCOTISH family somewhere along the line.
