Should A Non-marine Get An Eagle Globe Anchor Tattoo?

I know a guy (who is not a Marine- never served in the military for that matter) prescription online who got the Marine logo (EGA) tattoed on his arm. He says it is a dedication to his grandparents who were marines.
I am not going to confront the guy or anything (especially since I am not a Marine yet myself), just wondering what people here think:
Should a non-Marine get a Marine tattoo if he is dedicating it to his grandparents?
